FAQs for IV & Injection Therapy
Why are vitamins and antioxidants important?
Consistent levels of vitamins and minerals are needed for optimal health. Any deficiency can contribute to a variety of acute and long-term conditions. Antioxidants are an essential part of maintaining a healthy immune system, detoxifying your body and removing free radicals that can contribute to cellular damage. Antioxidants also play a role in energy production.
Why should I consider IV therapy?
Whether for a current problem or as part of treatment for chronic, long-term health conditions, IVs treat a wide variety of conditions from the common cold and basic infections, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, and so much more, including Lyme disease and mold toxicity. They are also helpful pre-or post-travel, to get over jetlag or in preparation for an operation.
Who should consider IV therapy?
Students back from college, families, business professionals, and athletes are among our patients looking to improve their overall health and wellbeing. It should be considered by anyone who gets sick more than once a year or anyone that might benefit from an energy boost for a home project or big event.
Why should I choose to have IV therapy over supplements or the food I eat?
IVs aren’t just about vitamins included. They include a cocktail of other essential ingredients like glutathione – the master antioxidant – which boost the treatment and is a poorly absorbed supplement. How many treatments will I need to have? This varies by individual. You can use them tactically, for example at the start of winter or before an operation or travel, alternatively you can create a routine schedule. Before starting any IV, we work with you to plan frequency, number of sessions and dosage to achieve the best results for you.
What is NAD IV?
NAD is a coenzyme naturally produced by the body that is associated with anti-aging. Our IV treatment combines IV fluids and NAD for brain restoration, enhanced energy, mental clarity, anti-aging and addiction detoxification.
What happens when I have an IV and how does it feel?
Our IV lounge, complete with reclining chairs, soft light and blankets will instantly make you feel comfortable. To begin you are hooked up to an IV line which is attached to a bag of saline solution along with your treatment. IV therapy bags work by gravity, so it is a much smoother experience than having fluids being forced into your body. A typical session is 45-60 minutes, but it can take longer on the first visit. There, is always a chance of bruising, tenderness at the insertion site, and possible bleeding.
